“Quilts connect the past with the present and future.”

WEARABLE ART

This cropped chore coat is constructed from a hand sewn quilt made from calico cotton and cotton feed sacks from the 1930’s. A summer weight for less than sultry nights along the mid Atlantic seaboard and the northeast, or wherever your hearts desire. Imagine the time and talent it took to cut and sew the original quilt by hand. The quilt itself was a work of art. Designing, cutting and sewing it into a new wearable piece of art provides opportunity for many more to appreciate it’s special beauty. If these textiles could talk.

“A quilt coat will warm your body and comfort your soul.”

Note from Author: There is a certain joy and reward in bringing something beautiful from the past into the present while providing it a future.
